“Why, it’s the postman!” She cried, leaping from her bunk and jumping the ladder down, she forges through the jungle of clothes, double bed, bags and various miscellaneous things, all guarded fiercely by the zombified cootie loving toys. “Hah! Hah!” With an incredible leap (for one who just got out of sleep), from our groggy heroine, she makes it out of the door. crowd cheers Aftermath: The postman is saved from carrying the bulky packages around for the rest of his shift!
Meanwhile . . .
“Hark! What is that low rumbling I hear?” Asks our heroine. “It’s measuring 5.6 on the Richter Scale.” Replied Number One, her second in command Bear-Minion. “To the Breakfast ROOM!” Cried our heroine.

For the first time in quite a few weeks, I have managed breakfast! Ha-Hah! Normally there isn’t any time to grab any, but this time, I sat down and ate it, slowly. Need to get my head down and work on this thing I have to hand in on Thursday, actually, I want to hand it in tomorrow. I just had a snack, but maybe I should fit lunch in too, that’ll be something!
Amazon have not delivered my present in time for today! Boos – I hope it arrives soon. On a different note, I have spent the weekend playing Age Of Empires and watching Star Trek episodes – Go Me!
I have discovered, since reviving this blog, that my spelling is atrocious! It’s been… counts fingers, seven years! Seven years since I last wrote a real essay. I am at a loss. Writing is a skill and it needs to be prized. Formality can be lost on the blog, but in articles and writings of any sort, it should be refined, I believe. Well, practice makes perfect and that is what I will endeavour to do.

ARRRGH!! I woke to this blinding light outside my window. Forcing myself up, I walked through the flat. To my horror the brightness was everywhere; even with the blinds drawn! My goodness, how am I supposed to look at the monitor with the immense reflection bouncing off the screen, making its way through the prescription glasses and then into the retina – ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! Man – am I glad that said spectacles are not thicker. The yellow line in illustration depicts the line of sunlight rays this morning at approximately 09:43:34.

Last night, I showed The Stig what my 1D cellular automata looked like, he seemed interested, and so I told him how it was made up of two arrays, and I read 5 cells per neighbourhood, and that at the ends, the reading is wrapped round so that it would take the other end as it’s neighbour. At this point, Mr Stig pointed out to me that my code did not wrap, but it would wrap if it was in Perl, . .. . .. . .. but the code is not in Perl, it is in C++. What PunKnESS!!! frustration It was too late in the night to do anything about it at this point and I felt like I had been given the biggest wedgie in the world.
Next morning, I get up, annoyed at having to sleep, and started changing it. Due to last nights revelation, my self esteem was now so low, I checked my calculations with: 7 pieces of paper (front and back), bright orange pen, a calculator and an extra set of test data. It works now (I think) and it draws a little differently.
The moral of todays story is to not learn several programming languages at once. Who am I kidding?
My goodness it’s a new month. In the words of my brother: “Heads up! Mother’s Day is 6th March.” I, myself am not worrying, no! For I have left that job into the hands of Amazon, I hope they deliver on time. :S gulp
