Had a good sleep in today, about time too! I bought these cheap search word puzzle books, going to keep them on the dining table at home to work on during tea breaks and stuff. Not that I spend my tea breaks at the table. Oh well. Very difficult blogging now, am seated uncomfortably at a high table sitting on a bar stool, the seat is almost the same height as the table . . . did I mention that it was uncomfortable?
Today I drove northwards approximately 250 miles. My brother also drove with me, spending most of his time 10 metres in front. The journey was alright, and completed in record time: 3 hours and a half hours. Average speed of 71 mph, pretty impressive for a Nissan Micra 998cc. All was fine until I arrived at destination and parked. For some unknown reason, maybe it was the dehydration settling in, or the fact that I really needed to wee, but I forgot to put on the handbrake. With the engine off, the car slipped forward and bumped the car in front. Even worse, I spied a woman looking out of her window and talking to someone about what she just saw. Panicky, I quickly reversed the car and came out all apologies. Thankfully, no damage was done, and it was all over with quickly. Now aclimatising in front of a computer . . . but of course where else?
I got crampy legs from sitting in a funny position, and a grumpy expression as my package in the mail today from Amazon had been tampered with. Two thirds of the contents were taken, and the sneaky buggers didn’t even bother ripping the back off like they normally do. This time they poked around at the side until the flap came out, they decided to do it to both sides. What for? Symmetry?
Amazon thankfully will send the replacements as soon as possible. But it does mean that I will end up reading the second issue of Make before the first. Make: A magazine that tells you to build a light seeking mouse-bot; tells you you are a procrastinator; and that Lego is good, I like.
