Well it seems that MagicJournal is going back to the board for reconstruction (this is because The Stig keeps pushing it). I wonder if it’s his subtle way of saying that he does not like the setup. Granted, that I haven’t finished it so that it is in keeping with my vision, but at least it’s working.

So watch this space. Meanwhile, I’ll still be blogging away.

I also have a very bad unhealthy craving for chocolate chip cookies and other sweet things.

Another trip out to sort some more computers, sorting out software, sorting out the backup system, and finally I gave a presentation to show the office workers how to use the system and answered problems they had.

What with lunch shouted, all in all an okay days work.

Feet are bothering me though since I travelled using public transport today. Need new shoes.

Wow time does pass quick. Today my brother and I ventured out on call to twiddle with a couple of computers and made sure the internet connection worked. Afterwards a stop off at Sainsburys ensured we’d be fed for the next couple of days. A big cake was brought also, some sort of chocolate feast, made up of several types of chocolate in various forms for us to scoff and say, “Hurrah! It’s Autumn!”.

At the pharmacy counter today I was asked how old I was, I looked at the assistant in shock, and then tried to stifle my giggles as I told her my upcoming age … the stifling did not work but my good old driving licence silenced the sceptic.

There was a mass culling of papers today as I tidied my work space, filed away statements, paid bills, budgeted and sorted out finances.
I have separated everything and filed them into even more folders in even more clearer categories: Utility Bills, Housing, Medical, Transport, Repair & Maintenance, Subscriptions and more. The whole point of the filing system, is so that when I want something, I do not need to remember where I last put it, but logically know where it is.

Scrabble Match: Moo Vs Stig

Points: 284 : 249

Moo wins Yay! Next time: Stig will be given a 2 minute time limit for his go. :(

Last week I risked incompetence and bought more things from eBuyer. Why? Because they’re cheap. That and the fact that I searched online for other companies, but then saw boards of people ranting their disatisfaction at those companies.

Today, the order arrived on time, but not only that, the risk paid off. All items were present, and even the item that was sourced from a different warehouse was present. My grateful thanks to that guy somewhere out there who picked my order, it is good to see that sometimes, someone can get it right.

Thanks Rob! Thumbs up

The day started out spectacular. It was very sunny, very warm and humid, but then came the afternoon, and clouds started to appear. By around 4pm, just around the time when kids were finished with school, claps of thunder started combined with grumblings and the pitter patter of rain. Children started screaming while running as fast as they could down the streets. Chaos everywhere!! Oh the drama!

Recently I have been considering the option of giving up my tv licence and replacing it with the Amazon rental scheme.

It has occurred to me that I hardly ever watch the telly in the first place, and when there are films I want to watch, I either: tape them, buy them or rent them. I dislike going to the cinema as I get very cold, the seats put my head in a funny position as I am shorter than average height and I get agitated by some peoples’ annoying habbits. So instead, I could hang up the licence and use the rental scheme instead, I rent the films I want to watch at less price, and I can also rent the documentaries I want to watch too. Price wise, even if I take the largest scheme they have on offer at Amazon, it is still less than the price of a tv licence. Therefore, I end up watching EVERYTHING I pay for, most of them films, in the comfort of my own home. It is an interesting prospect.

It has been a raining thundering night, followed by grey clouds. As if that wasn’t enough, my poor vegetable plants have Blight! Argh!

Blight n. 1 a plant disease caused by mildews, rusts smuts, fungi, or insects …

Ahhh! Can you smell the mood in the air today? Autum’s coming with its warm breeze and festive colours of red, yellow and brown. It makes me think of apple pies, thick soups, pumpkin and butternut squash. Reap the harvest my friends . . . and eat!
