So I have a balcony . . . that is almost completely covered in pigeon droppings, in some areas it’s over 2cm high. N0yce.
Due to personal business I had to take a train journey up north, the train departed at 22.00pm. I plugged in my ear phones and turned up the music to drown out the monotonous girl flirting with the monotonous guy next to her, talking about the most boring topics of conversation which everyone could hear. It was a long trip, leg room was minimal and the carriage was fumugated by sleeping humans with half opened mouths, some of them with dangling drools. Twenty-nine Sudoku puzzles later a.k.a 02.00am, I arrived at my destination, Geordie Land, and was promptly booted out of the train station as they were desperate to close the main doors. Next time, I think I’ll travel first class.
On travel home, I looked up at the stars. Usually this is quite difficult in cloudy polluted London, but it was pretty clear today. Looking up, I spotted Orion’s belt, normally the only thing I can spot, but today I finally found the “big dipper”, abet it was upside down but I’ve seen it drawn on textbooks too often enough. To see it with the naked eye, was like finding a little gem. The Dipper has eluded my searches for the past 15 years, I must be getting better, that or my glasses prescription is stronger.
