I have been having trouble with a user whose computer problems I have been trying to fix. It is not going pretty – and he has been trying my patience. It is particularly annoying for me when a user decides that to cover the blanks in their knowledge, they answer in the general form.
- Definition of General form answering: To answer generally with no specifics, e.g. “I don’t know what you’re talking about but I’m not going to admit that.
The crunch came when he disagreed with what I said and answered with : “I think we’ll have to agree to disagree on that point.”
That point being: heat rises.
GaaAHH! May physics come and bite him.
