So it was, this morning, the front door rang. Jumping out of bed and dodging the local bedroom obstacles I tottered to the front door and answered the intercom. “Hello?”
“POSTMAN! With Harry POTTER!”
When I had the package in my hands, I turned it over in my hands, apprehensive.
“What’s that?” asked Stig “Will you read it to me?”
“No,” was my terse reply, “this is between me and Harry.”
And so during the rest of the day, I stole various times to settle into my comfy reading chair and read, and read, and read. Approximately 5 hours later I was finished. It was so long, I do not believe the full emotional impact of the book has hit me yet. I did get hit with the odd moments, but my brain was on overload to shove the story through. Like the previous three books, I will probably have to read it again, but at a slower pace. I have a terrible way of literally *eating* books, but to truely enjoy them, I am forced to read it through again. Sometimes, I do wish that my reading was naturally slower. But I do not have the chance to re-read for a good week now, as Mister Stig has his paws on it. *Sigh*
