Today I took the train to London. I’ve travelled on the train plenty of times, but never on the 1st January, and what a journey it was. My first thought on boarding was along the lines of: “… there seems to be quite a number of people on here..”, but as the train slowly pulled out of the station and I was stuck in the side cabins fighting for some corner I suddenly realised: “I’m on the tube!” A frightening thought indeed, especially since the journey was to take 3 hours.
Travelling on public holidays is a no no.
I am not impressed with the service that Ikea gives. I’ve been looking for a piece of furniture for 4-5 months now. First they tell me to keep checking into the store (which isn’t very convenient for me). Then they finally…
Then they finally cracked me in. So much so, that I have erased that particularly unpleasantness from my brain.
Yesterday was the night of the departments do …
Indeed it was. A fun night, a lot of hitting golf balls onto a screen and your virtual ball played off the rest of the move. Personally I would have liked the real thing, but when you’re in the middle of Soho in an underground basement, this is as good as you can get. The night moved onto a bar with plenty of introductions for us all to the same drink by the same two persons within our team. The DJ had it so loud, you couldn’t oppose to further helpings, still it was tasty.

Hmm… *brushes dust off* I think this was about a year ago, actually it was more than a year ago, it was around March/April 2007.
Today I decided to upgrade my normal bowl of porridge with a croissant. I have recently discovered that you can either pay 1.20 at Starbucks for a cold hard croissant, or 80p at Pret a Manger for a warm soft one. Not a hard decision for my purse strings obviously.
I seem to have a bad habit of typing up drafts but never getting around to posting them out. The drafts then all backlog up, and it comes to the point where I remember it happening, but not quite the timing of when it was. I’m not the sort of person who catalogues a log date with a memory, unless it was something particularly special. This time though, I think I’ll just shovel them out.
