I’ve recently been watching Monkey Life, a show about the lives, dramas and plight of the monkeys and apes that live in Monkey World a centre in Dorset.
From the toddling chimps that love to roll and play all day and night, to the orangutangs whose problem solving skills would give them an ‘A’ score at the local comprehensive, it is sad to see the background that some of these cousins have been rescued from. However, it is uplifting to see the work at the centre, that they are able to offer places for those who cannot return to the wild.
Indeed, at the rate things are going now, there might not be much wilderness left out there for them or us.
